QuickSteps is an innovative software tool for machine troubleshooting.
QuickSteps is composed of two modules: The Fault Diagnostics System and the Modeling System.
With the Fault Diagnosis System, users can identify the cause of faults directly at the machine using interactive selection dialogs (yes/no questions, photos/images, videos, etc.) and receive specific instructions on how to correct the fault.
The modeling system allows the company's internal super-users to model and update fault cases and solutions via the graphical user interface, ensuring that the system is always up to date.
QuickSteps guides the user through a series of interactive dialog boxes to precisely identify the specific fault. This enables accurate diagnosis without in-depth technical knowledge.
Once the incident has been specified, QuickSteps displays one or more instructions for resolving the problem. These instructions are prioritized based on statistical data. The action instruction that has been most frequently resolved in the past is displayed first. When an error or solution occurs for the first time, users can report it directly to the modeling system in the Failure Diagnosis System.
The modeling system allows super-users to model and update fault cases through an intuitive graphical user interface. This ensures that the fault diagnostic system is always up to date and remains relevant to new machines and processes.
QuickSteps is a comprehensive knowledge base of common problems and their solutions. This database is continuously updated by super users and is accessible to all users. This ensures quick access to proven solutions and QuickSteps promotes learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.
QuickSteps keeps statistics on the effectiveness of the instructions and continuously optimizes the prioritization of the displayed solutions based on previous successes. At the company's request, QuickSteps can also generate statistics on the usage and frequency of individual incidents, allowing further analysis to increase the system's effectiveness.
